Definition
A tropical oil produced locally in the Comoros, subtly flavoured.
Details
Coconut oil is extracted from the fresh or dried flesh (copra) of the coconut. Produced locally in the Comoros, it is used both in cooking and for body care. Its melting point is around 24 °C, so it is solid at room temperature and liquid in the heat. It handles medium-heat cooking well.
